VEER (Voice for Education & Equal Rights) means “TO CHANGE DIRECTION” and “BROTHER” in the local language Saraiki, is a registered Non-Governmental Organization established for rendering its services to marginalized communities.

VEER is a registered Non-Governmental Organization established for rendering its services to the marginalized communities of KPK with focused on southern districts of D.I.Khan, Tank, Lakki Marwat, merged districts and adjacent districts of Punjab Province i.e Bhakkar, Mianwali and Khushab. VEER implemented a number of innovative projects in NRM, agriculture, livestock, livelihood, water management, CBDRM, school-based Disaster Risk Management, and Climate Smart Agriculture intervention with the coordination of the Agriculture Extension Department and Agriculture Research Department.

VEER has implemented the different projects with the support of FAO, Swiss Development Corporation, DAI, Helvetas, Action Aid, OFDA, ECHO, Church World Services, UNICEF, UNDP (GEF), UNDP (Italian funding), AHAN, Concern Worldwide, DAI, KNH and Relief International in Bannu, Lakki Marwat, DIkhan and Tank. In 2009-2010 and 2022-2023 VEER provided humanitarian assistance projects for TDPs of South Waziristan Agency, North Waziristan Agency and flood-affected communities.

VEER always strives to provide equal opportunity to youth and women to create employment windows for sustainable growth and development.

VDO believes women’s empowerment is the key to sustainable growth & always provides equal opportunity to women for income generation and role in the decision-making process through different strategies. In different projects, VDO provides the platform to women to play a role in economic growth because often women have fewer opportunities for progression and are more vulnerable to exploitation. VDO explores opportunities to integrate gender aspects in different programming steps of projects and inventions. The primary goal & aim of VDO is to raise awareness, encourage, and inspire to integrate gender aspects into women’s economic growth, improve & secure livelihoods & increase the food security of communities in KPK areas of Pakistan.
